Les and Sue Drinkwater live with their beloved Boxers in a small village in South Northamptonshire. Sue grew up surrounded by animals, her favourite being a Boxer dog called "Carlo".
In 1970 Les and Sue were married and their first purchase was a brindle Boxer male called "Rocky".
Shortly afterwards they bought their first show dog, another brindle male from the Sunhawk kennels. "Max", as he was called was their first show dog and devoted companion for almost fourteen years.
The showing bug had bitten hard, and a bitch was bought from the Faerdorn kennels owned by Sue Harvey. She was a daughter of Ch. Rayfos Cockrobin out of a Ch. Faerdorn Pheasant Plucker bitch. Her name was Faerdorn Whatever Next and she was destined to become a star both in the show ring and the whelping box. "Donna" became their first Champion in 1989, and is behind most of their winning dogs today.
In 2003, Sue was awarded a British Boxer Club “Boscar” for “The Person or Kennel that provides the most support to Newcomers”.

After enjoying moderate success with breeding and showing their Boxers, Sue and Les decided to source a well bred bitch to start their breeding programme in earnest. Faerdorn Whatever Next joined them at Sulez and became their first Champion in 1989. “Donna,” is behind most of their winning dogs today.

Boss won his first CC at ten months of age. He also sired a litter by AI in Norway, bred by the Boxerhaven kennels. From the resultant litter of eleven puppies, one of them became Nor. Ch. Boxerhavens Guanerius.
Charlie was Top Sire in 1993, and sire of the top winning bitch Ch. Time to Dance at Manic and Irish Ch. Benton Rob Roy. Charlie was owned and campaigned by Julie and Mick Cook (Manic Boxers).
A repeat mating to Ch. Bitza Shout and Roar produced "Sparky", Sulez Whatevers Best (3 Res CC) and "Sally", Sulez Whatever Will Be for Manic. Sally was in the last four for the CC at Crufts on one occasion ,but excelled in the whelping box, proving to be a very useful brood bitch for the Manic kennels. A second repeat of this very successful mating produced Donna’s fourth green card winner. "Kate", Sulez Whatever Goes to Bitza (1 CC) owned by Pat and Andrew Varney.

Cher was mated to Ch. Makeneys Magical Moments in the hope that she would produce them a good red bitch. hoped for a red bitch as they knew that Cher could produce reds. Sulez Blackmagic (54 CC, 33 BOB, 28 RCC). Please see Magic's page for details of her impressive show career. Magic is a multiple Best In Show winner (All Breeds and Specialty).
