Group East of England Ch Show 2002
Shortly
after winning his second CC and the Working Group
at East of England Ch. Show Buster developed
a hacking cough which showed no sign of abating
despite extensive veterinary treatment. When he
began to cough up blood and pus, he was referred
to one of the top soft tissue specialists, where
it was discovered that he had a whole ear of corn
embedded at the bottom of his right lung (he must
have inhaled it whilst chasing rabbits through
the cornfields)! Three attempts to remove it failed,
so a decision was made to remove a third of his
lung. He made a full recovery.
After a lengthy period away
from the show ring he returned to take his title
at Paignton Ch. Show 2005. There was hardly a
dry eye at the ringside!
